There are many ways to enjoy
Los Gigantes and Puerto Calero with a range of excellent restaurants all with dining terraces for the al fresco dining experience. A fashion avenue for a bit of retail therapy, an art gallery and a marine mammal museum to complete that stroll, shop and savour experience that is just a small piece of Puerto Calero. As well as shopping and eating, Puerto Calero is a great place to chill and look at the fabulous yachts whilst you soak up a bit of the luxury atmosphere that permeates the marina.
Apart from the super-rich, Puerto Calero tends to attract people who want a quiet and relaxed holiday. Among the day visitors, there are many families who arrive by coach. Often these day trips are organised by hotels in other resorts of the island. The large terrace in front of the old marina building is ideal for children to play and run around without getting too close to the water. Many people visit the marina to go for a meal by the sea, but there are also a few leisure activities which attract day visitors.
Along the marina waterfront there is a plethora of restaurants to chose in Puerto Calero from for a lunch or evening meal with lots of different cuisine - currently British, Chinese, Indian, Spanish, Italian and European menus are displayed. These restaurants all have lovely outside terraces offering sun or shade and a spectacular view whilst dining. There are currently just two hotels in Puerto Calero, both boasting spa facilities. Alternative holiday accommodation is primarily in villas and luxury apartments.
